Institute of Somatic Therapy is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider. Provider # 280672-00. Our CEUs/credits are also valid for AMTA, ABMP, and in Florida (Provider #MCE326) and most states. Our approval through the NCBTMB is valid through April 2010. The NCBTMB does required a proctored practice session for some of our courses, as noted in the course descriptions. Please Note: Our courses are "continuing education CEUs" for certified massage therapists. While a non-licensed person may take them for their personal use, they may not legally practice without an underlying massage therapy license if their jurisdiction requires one, as most jurisdictions do. The only exception to this is the Infant Massage course. In most jurisdictions you can take the course, earn the title of "Certified Infant Massage Instructor" to teach infant massage. You cannot, however, hold yourself out to be a certified massage therapist. We cannot deviate from our standard return policy (see FAQ) if you enroll in a course that you later determine is not valid for practice in your jurisdiction. Courses are non-transferable. Certificates and transcripts will only be issued in the name of the person who enrolls in the course at the time of purchase.
